Four colored pads sit on the screen. They flash one after another in a random order. Watch carefully, then tap the pads in the same sequence. Get it right and the sequence grows by one step. Miss one step and you lose a life — three mistakes end the session.
What it trains
Sequence trains working memory — the ability to hold several items in mind and manipulate them. It's the same skill you use when following multi-step instructions or keeping a phone number in your head long enough to dial it. Regular practice also improves attention and pattern recognition.
Tips to improve your score
Chunk the sequence into groups of 2–3. "Red-blue, yellow-green" is easier than 4 separate colors.
Hum a rhythm — sequences with rhythm are easier to remember.
Don't tap immediately. Take a second to replay the pattern mentally first.
